I thought the short-play festival was a good start and proud that one of my shorties ("Crossing Bells") was one of the five. I hope it becomes a yearly event but I would hold it to West Virginia writers and there are plenty of them. :)

WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
GVT has been a much loved and supported part of the community for a very long time. How about a post on the website updating what some of the many actors, directors and techs from past companies are up to now? I think even some photos (then and now) with write-ups would be great in the lobby during the summer. Community favorites like, Larry Curry, Memrie and Wayne Innerarity, Barb Wygal, director of Fiddler on the Roof (around 1978ish)Gerald Guttieriez, Dan Brewer, Nicky Dudley, Joe Collins . . . just to name a few. Long time upporters would LOVE to see what these folks are doing now, although some did get sick. Many former cast members like myself are in touch with some, and I know Anne Benedict would be a great source.

If you have not seen the Guys and Dolls production, you really ought to. We went Saturday night and were blown away by the overall quality of the production--acting, singing, music, directing, set, even down to the wonderful artwork on the cover of the program. It was obvious that an incredible amount of time and effort went into the show. My high school production in the late 60s paled in comparison. Thanks for a wonderful show.
